I didn’t always feel at home in the kitchen. As a child, I was more likely to hear “Get out of my kitchen” than to be invited to help. Years later, travel, friendships, and foods from different cultures opened up an entirely different world.

When my own children were young, the kitchen became a place where we could experiment together—making things from scratch, trying unfamiliar flavours, and discovering that some of the best meals begin with curiosity.

Kat Blue is a place to keep exploring. Here I share recipes, photographs, stories, and discoveries gathered along the way—with the hope that they might inspire a little curiosity of your own.
